Join Our Team as a Contract Accountant!

Are you a detail-oriented accountant looking to make an impact? We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a remote, work-from-home short-term contract to support an important accounting project. This is your chance to contribute to our mission of financial integrity while working in a collaborative environment!

What You’ll Do:
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Bank Reconciliations: Execute timely and accurate reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
  • EOM Closing: Assist in month-end closing processes, including journal entries and financial statements.
  • Share Drafts Management: Oversee and process share drafts for accurate recording and timely distribution.
  • Exception Handling: Investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies, ensuring clear documentation.
  • ACH Processing: Manage ACH transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure accurate data flow and support other projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of compliance with federal and state regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Relevant experience in accounting, preferably within a credit union or financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
