Are you a detail-oriented accountant looking to make an impact? We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a remote, work-from-home short-term contract to support an important accounting project. What You’ll Do:
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:
Bank Reconciliations: Execute timely and accurate reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
EOM Closing: Assist in month-end closing processes, including journal entries and financial statements.
Share Drafts Management: Oversee and process share drafts for accurate recording and timely distribution.
Exception Handling: Investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies, ensuring clear documentation.
ACH Processing: Manage ACH transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure accurate data flow and support other projects.
Regulatory Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of compliance with federal and state regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
Relevant experience in accounting, preferably within a credit union or financial institution.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
