What You'll Do:
• Perform general ledger reconciliations with exceptional accuracy.
• Research, prepare, and post general ledger journal entries using the Fiserv Wisdom core processing system.
• Investigate and resolve complex reconciliation discrepancies and balancing issues.
• Identify root causes of out-of-balance conditions and implement corrective solutions.
• Research transaction activity and accounting records to resolve exceptions efficiently.
• Maintain compliance with internal accounting policies and industry standards.
• Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to resolve outstanding financial issues.
• Prioritize multiple assignments while meeting daily, weekly, and month-end deadlines.
• Maintain organized documentation supporting reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assist with additional accounting and financial projects as needed.
What We're Looking For:
• Extensive hands-on experience with the Fiserv Wisdom core processing system (required).
• Previous accounting experience within a credit union or bank.
• Strong background performing general ledger reconciliations.
• Proven experience researching and posting GL journal entries in Fiserv Wisdom.
• Demonstrated success resolving complex reconciliation outages and balancing discrepancies.
• Thorough understanding of financial institution accounting practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Experience supporting month-end close and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are a plus.
