Primary Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Efficiently Handle Transactions: Receive and process checking and savings deposits and process loan payments, ensuring accuracy and issuing proper receipts.
- Regulatory Compliance: Examine deposited checks, determining fund availability in line with regulations, and completing necessary Hold Notices.
- Customer Assistance: Respond to customer inquiries about interest rates, service charges, and account histories while maintaining compliance with regulations and privacy policies.
- Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell our bank products and services, enhancing the customer's banking experience.
- Problem Resolution: Effectively address customer issues, referring complex matters to the appropriate departments when necessary.
- Currency Management: Handle currency transactions, including buying and selling from the vault while adhering to cash limits.
- Daily Balancing: Ensure your teller station is well-stocked and balanced at the end of each day.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
- Teller Experience: A minimum of one to two years of experience in a Teller role within a financial institution (heavy cash handling experience is also acceptable).
- Education: A High School diploma or GED
- Customer Service Excellence: Strong customer service skills to create positive interactions with every customer.
