Are you a detail-oriented, growth-focused individual with a passion for making a difference? We are eagerly seeking a dynamic Accountant to be a key player in safeguarding our assets, managing all accounting operations, and maintaining robust internal controls for our Center and Endowment.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Prepare and enter journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle program receipts and maintain specific subsidiary ledgers.
  • Summarize balance sheet accounts and analyze assigned accounts.
  • Generate reports and billings, providing crucial financial insights.
  • Produce financial statements and prepare reports for key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the finance committee and the Board, sharing your expertise.
Your Impact:
  • Ensuring accuracy and efficiency in check writing and disbursements.
  • Managing accounts payable, verifying invoices, and ensuring timely payments.
  • Handling expense accounts, reimbursements, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Overseeing payroll activities and maintaining accurate records.
  • Recording deposits, and managing Gala and Golf Tournament finances.
  • Tracking individual or foundation gifts and pledges receivable.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance/accounting, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Ability to build trust and relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Quickbooks Non-Profit.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Discretion and trustworthiness in handling confidential information.
