Job Description

Manufacturing company in Northwest Houston is looking for a bookkeeper to assist their team.

Primary Duties:
  • Deliver financial reporting on time and within budget with the highest standard of quality
  • Ensure timely entering of all data (customer and vendor invoices and payroll) to produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results on an accrual basis
  • Manage cash effectively
  • Reconcile bank accounts within two days of month end closing and ensure accounting records properly reflect activity
  • Prepare the weekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Complete required payroll filings
  • Work closely with the President to assist in preparation of annual budget
  • Provide financial information to the CPA to meet tax filing deadlines
  • Account for and safeguard inventory and company capital assets
  • Ensure paperwork is properly prepared and approved by the customer to allow timely and complete invoicing and prompt collection
  • Process, organize and file customer orders and other company documentation


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in account or 2 year associates degree
  • 7-15 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience
  • Accrual based accounting experience
  • QuickBooks experience
  • Advanced mathematical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of double entry bookkeeping
  • Patient, discreet, and trustworthy to handle financials and confidential information

In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her friends and family, and spending the day on the golf course.
