What You'll Do:
• Originate, structure, and close SBA 7(a), SBA 504, and SBA Express loans in accordance with SBA guidelines and bank policies
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, projections, and collateral to evaluate creditworthiness and structure loan requests
• Prepare compliant and complete loan packages for underwriting, approval, and SBA submission
• Manage an active pipeline and ensure loans move efficiently from application through closing
• Monitor portfolio performance and maintain strong borrower relationships throughout the life of the loan
• Ensure SBA eligibility, documentation, and reporting requirements are met to protect SBA guaranty status
• Develop and maintain referral relationships with CPAs, attorneys, brokers, community organizations, and business partners
• Represent the organization at business networking events, chambers of commerce, and SBA-related organizations
• Participate in financial literacy programs, small business workshops, and community outreach initiatives
• Collaborate closely with Credit, Loan Operations, Compliance, Marketing, and Senior Management teams
• Provide internal guidance on SBA requirements, regulatory updates, and lending best practices
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• 3–7 years of SBA lending experience, preferably within a community banking environment
• Strong knowledge of SBA 7(a), 504, and Express loan programs, SOPs, and eligibility requirements
• Proven experience analyzing financial statements and structuring commercial loan requests
• Strong business development, networking, and relationship management abilities
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Commitment to serving underserved communities and supporting minority-owned businesses
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and production goals
• High level of attention to detail and compliance discipline
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and customer relationship skills
