Position Summary

The position of Consumer Finance Customer Service Specialist is responsible to for facilitating the creation of CIF numbers on all new clients for account processing, assist customers (internal and external) with questions and help, provide exemplary customer service to all bank customers & assist with dual language customers, assist with past due calls, and maintain customer records to adhere to all banking regulations as well as additional duties assigned from time to time.

The Consumer Finance Customer Service Specialist must help assure compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Primary Functions
  • Application review.  Consumer loan /leases require Application to be completed at the customer/ dealer/ leasing company level.  It is important the application is complete. All loans require a Customer Information File within Jack Henry (CIF).  The CIF requires information related to the borrower, co borrower and guarantor(s).  Applications contain some of this information, but additional information is sometimes required.  Interaction with dealers and/or customers might be necessary to obtain all information.
  • New loan / leases are required to Answer telephones, answer questions and direct callers to proper Bank personnel and be primarily responsible for accepting payments by phone.
  • Maintain current job knowledge and adhere to all bank policies and procedures
  • Maintain current job knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Practice quality teamwork to ensure the success of the bank / department. 
  • Assume responsibility for various department functions in the absence of staff members or in overwhelming situations.
  • Maintain files, copies and faxes documents; record documents.  File, scan documents, updates information and sort mail or reports as required.
  • Follow policies and procedures; completes tasks correctly and on time; supports the Bank’s goals and values.
