Are you ready to bring your financial expertise to a dynamic banking environment? We’re seeking an Financial Assistant to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining our financial operations.   What You’ll Do
  • Manage Accounts Payable: Oversee the Banktel system to ensure accurate coding, approvals, and documentation of payments.
  • Expense Compliance: Review employee reimbursement requests, verify receipts, and ensure compliance with Bank policies.
  • Vendor Coordination: Monitor vendor invoicing for sales/use tax accuracy, update vendor information, and manage Federal form W-9s and ACH authorizations.
  • General Ledger Oversight: Monitor transactions, post corrections, and ensure accurate record retention in the Synergy system.
  • Support Financial Operations: Assist with significant accounts payable transactions, provide documentation for concerns, and support departmental needs.
  • Collaborate and Cross-Train: Work with team members to ensure smooth operations and assist during absences or high-volume periods.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in banking or financial accounting; Associate degree in Accounting preferred (or equivalent education and experience).
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and financial systems.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to spot discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for interpreting procedures and presenting solutions.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to take on special projects and cross-train to support team success.
