Mechanical Designer II

What You'll Do:
• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using AutoCAD Inventor
• Develop innovative mechanical designs for robotic automation and metal coating systems
• Perform engineering calculations for load factors, torque, horsepower, and more
• Produce accurate BOMs and production drawings with a focus on standardization and efficiency
• Troubleshoot design issues hands-on in the production environment to meet tight deadlines
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate across engineering, sales, and operations
• Support the development of manuals and technical documents for project deliveries
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field
• 5–7 years of hands-on mechanical design experience in a custom manufacturing environment
• Mastery of AutoCAD Inventor and 3D design software
• Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, rotating equipment, grinding, and polishing
• Proven ability to perform engineering calculations and develop functional, manufacturable designs
• Familiarity with robotic automation systems like machine tending and pick-and-place
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to work on the floor to resolve production challenges
• A drive to take initiative and a passion for creating effective design solutions
