A Houston-based Credit Union is seeking a Teller to ensure smooth daily operations by managing vault cash, balancing ATMs, and assisting customers with their financial transactions. Position Overview: As a Teller, you will play a critical role in managing cash operations and providing outstanding service to credit union members. Your responsibilities will include balancing vault cash, processing member transactions, and maintaining ATM operations. You will also ensure that every interaction is professional, courteous, and aligns with the credit union’s commitment to member satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and balance vault cash through periodic cash orders and daily oversight.
Provide tellers with sufficient cash to meet daily operational demands.
Manage and balance ATMs, including processing deposits and maintaining general ledgers.
Assist customers with financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers.
Balance cash drawers and ensure posting accuracy.
Cross-sell credit union products and services to enhance member relationships.
Troubleshoot and resolve member inquiries promptly and courteously.
Consistently meet balancing requirementsÂ
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (BSA/AML, OFAC, CIP, etc.).
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of similar or related experience (cash handling, banking, or teller operations preferred).
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Positive, proactive attitude and commitment to teamwork.
