Experienced Bank Teller (Contract)

Are you an experienced Bank Teller looking for your next opportunity? Our bank client in Kingwood is seeking a skilled Teller to join their team on a contract basis. In this role, you will provide top-notch service to customers, handling a variety of transactions and referring them to appropriate departments when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process checking and savings deposits, verifying cash and endorsements.
  • Issue receipts, examine deposited checks, and handle savings withdrawals.
  • Detect counterfeit currency and ensure compliance with bank regulations.
  • Answer customer inquiries on interest rates, account histories, and service changes.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services.
  • Refer customers to appropriate departments for more complex issues.
  • Handle coin counting, cashier's checks, money orders, loan payments, and more.
  • Manage your cash drawer, balance it daily, and buy/sell currency from the vault.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of Teller experience in a financial institution (banking preferred).
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency with Jack Henry software is a plus.
  • Strong 10-key calculator and typing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
