Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Member Services: Receive and process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, money orders, and gift card sales. Balance cash drawer daily.
Team Leadership: Train, schedule, direct, and monitor tellers. Coordinate teller activities and assist the Branch Manager with performance evaluations and personnel actions.
Advocacy: Act as a member advocate by promoting credit union products and services.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure department activities comply with established procedures, policies, and regulations. Address any compliance issues promptly.
Member Interaction: Welcome members, provide routine information about services and direct them to appropriate departments for specific needs.
Vault Teller Duties: Coordinate currency supplies, perform monthly and surprise cash counts, and ensure products like gift cards are balanced with monthly reports prepared.
Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Minimum of two years in a similar or related role.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: High level of trust, diplomacy, courtesy, and tact. Extensive personal contact, often involving sensitive matters. Ability to foster sound relationships with external entities.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for training and motivating tellers.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with 10-key calculators and computer keyboards. Accuracy with numbers and names.
