Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented UCC Documentation Specialist to support our loan auditing process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for auditing approximately 850 loans to ensure that UCCs (Uniform Commercial Code) are properly documented, current, and accurately recorded. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting a comprehensive UCC audit for a portfolio of loans.
  • Creating and maintaining an Excel log of UCC information.
  • Reviewing loan approvals to verify if UCCs were taken as collateral.
  • Ensuring recorded UCC copies are available in our imaging system.
  • Determining the status of UCCs (current or expired).
  • Flagging expired UCCs and notifying designated bank personnel.
  • Collaborating with bank personnel to address UCC renewals and re-filings.
  • Updating the UCC log with current information after necessary actions are taken.

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in banking, specifically in loan documentation.
  • Proficiency in UCC collateral management, including reading and understanding UCCs.
  • Ability to identify whether a UCC is recorded and determine its status (current or lapsed).
  • Strong Excel skills, with experience in creating and managing logs.
  • Competence in reading loan approvals to assess UCC security.

This is a temporary position designed to assist with a specific audit project.
